Public Relations and Events
Since I graduated from my B.A.(Hons) in Communication Studies I have worked with dynamic and driven teams in a variety of areas of Arts, Culture and Visual Communications & Events.
The Dublin International Film Festival
In 2020, I worked as the Press Assistant for the Dublin International Film Festival.
My role consisted of drafting press releases and writing copy, based on films and events in the festival as directed by the Publicity Manager. I worked with the Head of Development & Marketing to ensure co-ordination of print material on screenings and scheduled press events, photographers and assisting at media calls, junkets and on red carpets. I also pitched to media outlets and press and created detailed weekly reports, campaign responses to assist the Marketing and Events Teams.
In this role, I also had the opportunity to interview a number of celebrities who were attending the events for the DIFF2020 Social Media. I interviewed Bob Geldof, Sinead O’Connor, George MacKay, Imogen Poots among others.
TODOMUTA STUDIO
In September 2019, I was awarded a scholarship from the European Union to study Digital Marketing and Spanish in Seville, Spain. During my time in Seville, I worked as an Art Marketing Assistant for TODOMUTA STUDIO.
This role gave me first-hand experience working with, pitching to press and researching clients while preparing projects for the creative directors and media. My daily schedule involved assembling timelines, managing, developing and sourcing material for the social media channels. I also produced and edited their online platforms.
I worked closely with a number of writers from design publications such as The New York Times’ “T” Magazine and Vogue Spain, to market our work and upcoming events.
One Productions &
The Dublin Fringe Festival
One Productions is Ireland’s leading video production agency. In 2020, I interned with them as a Production Assistant. I scheduled talent for filming in studio. I also organising any follow-up time for corrections and assisted in set design for podcasts, script rewrites and casting.
In 2018, I interned with The Dublin Fringe Festival. This is an annual curated arts festival in Dublin, Ireland focusing mainly on theatre. I assisted in advertising different shows and exhibitions on their social media platforms. I designed content for the social media platforms and photographed the Spitfire Bird art exhibition.
