SUBSET: THE ART OF THE UNSEEN

During my B.A. (Hons) in Communication Studies, I gained a solid foundation in audio and visual production through various modules. For my final year project, I researched, interviewed, recorded, and edited an audio documentary exploring the impact of SUBSET, a Dublin-based art collective, on conversations surrounding Ireland’s Housing Crisis.

SUBSET uses public art to highlight social issues in Ireland. Their GREY AREA movement drew attention to the city’s vacant properties amid a growing homeless crisis. In my documentary, I interviewed two SUBSET members (with disguised voices for legal reasons) and Brian from Inner City Helping Homeless (ICHH), who discussed their work and SUBSET's influence.
